set index

Sets are long form TCD, unedited recordings of each of our improvisational sessions. Each set is a unique, nearly seamless string of moods and styles that lasts anywhere from a few minutes to over an hour. Check out our singles if you don't have the attention span for this sort of thing.

This page provides artwork, mp3s, descriptive timelines, annotations, and gear information for each set. Asterisks (***) indicate pieces that we think are remarkable, for various reasons.

Click where indicated to listen to a full set. Click linked titles to hear excerpts. Click any image for a larger version.

The first 13 minutes are a nearly seamless groove pinned with a big, soft bass drum sound. (****) sounded like Orbus Terrarum, which is my benchmark for organic sounding electronics. The interplay of rhythm and noise and melody keeps it fresh and complex and unpredictable, unlike techno.

This was our Rick Wright tribute since he had just passed away. (****) is one of my all time favorite TCD moments even though it is founded on a microKORG arpeggio preset. It starts so suddenly and completely that it's shocking, like diving into cold water. We want to do a video for it, film some abandoned structures at sunset. Take a road trip to Centralia. Nice LFOs, nice use of the kaossilator for acoustic sounds: horns, harmonica, piano.
